Field note

Start with the problem people feel, not the feature you want to ship.

The strongest digital products usually begin with an observed friction: a handoff that keeps breaking, a decision that takes too long, or a tool people avoid using.

Name the friction

Before opening a design file, write down who is stuck, what they are trying to accomplish, and what the current workaround costs them. This turns a vague idea into a problem you can observe and discuss.

Build the smallest useful loop

Start with one input, one meaningful transformation, and one clear outcome. That loop gives you something real to test without committing to a large roadmap or a complicated technical foundation.

Let evidence shape the next release

A useful product is not the one with the longest roadmap; it is the one that makes a repeated task feel lighter. Watch where people hesitate, then improve the part that creates the most friction.
